Sabaoth Agape Institute is preparing a pilot version of English and American Life, a practical online course for adult English learners who want to improve their English while better understanding life, work, community, and culture in the United States.
This course is for learners who want more than vocabulary lists or grammar exercises. Students practice real-life English while learning about everyday American situations, cultural expectations, basic civics, and community life.

What Will Students Learn?
Students will practice English through real-life topics such as introductions, schedules, shopping, transportation, health, safety, work, community life, basic civics, and American culture.
The course includes vocabulary, conversation practice, reading, writing, listening, and cultural understanding.


Course Format
This pilot course will be offered online in a small-group or individual format. Lessons may include teacher instruction, guided practice, discussion, simple assignments, and review activities.
Because this is a pilot course, some details may be adjusted based on student needs and feedback.


About Sabaoth Agape Institute


Sabaoth Agape Institute is a faith-based educational project rooted in Christian values of love, service, truth, and human dignity. Our goal is to help adult English learners grow in language, confidence, and understanding as they prepare for real-life communication, work, community, and daily life in the United States.
Students from many backgrounds are welcome. This course is educational in purpose and focuses on practical English, cultural understanding, civics, and everyday life skills.

Meet the Teacher
Michael Hartman is the founder and teacher of Sabaoth Agape Institute. He holds an M.A. in TESOL, a B.S. in Social Studies Education, and an A.A. in Sign Language Interpreting. His background includes classroom teaching, tutoring, community education, American history, civics, and volunteer ASL instruction.
Michael created SAI to help English learners grow in practical English while also understanding American life, culture, civics, work, and community. His teaching style is patient, clear, respectful, and rooted in Christian values of service, dignity, and love for neighbor.


Pilot Course Participation
Next pilot group forming now. Class time will be chosen based on student availability. Classes will meet once a week on Zoom and are about 50 minutes long.
Founding Student Pilot Price: $49
This discounted pilot rate includes 4 live online classes, downloadable practice materials, and guided English-for-real-life instruction.
Students who participate will be asked to provide feedback to help improve future lessons.
Future sessions may be offered at the regular course rate of $79–$99.
